It is MR JAKE that is honoring us this week with his judicial munificence!
Due to my computer worries he had to deliver the goods in a hurry, and he did not disappoint!!!

Topic:

“Multi-aircraft shots”

...

Mr Jake states:

One of my favourite means of achieving a great screenshot is with multiple aircraft images. It is easy to achieve a multiple aircraft image; with the recorder module (www.fs-recorder.net - my tutorial for using the module is here), with AI, flyable formations or with a good old fashioned cfs dogfight! I want to see famous dogfights re-enacted, display teams copied and anything else you can come up with!

Composites are allowed but I encourage you to use recorder to your advantage; a well done composite will have no advantage over a well set up recorder shot. Make the shot as original as possible... the overall set up and atmosphere of the shot could play a big part! Also try to keep the shot accurate, I don't want to see the exact same aircraft over and over again!

Lets see those aircraft!!!

THIS WEEK'S RULES

1. There must be more than one plane in the shot.

2. There can be payware or freeware in the shots, FS any version.  As usual, editing is allowed and this time COMPOSITES too ARE allowed. Some JC comps will allow them, but most won’t.

3. You nominate one shot only, as a thumbnail of about 5 kb, or as a simple link (minus the image tags).

IT CAN BE AN OLD SHOT if you don’t have time to create something especially for the comp, though original entries are encouraged….  Post it in this thread, below.

DEADLINE for submission of shots is 8 PM GMT on SATURDAY.

The judge will choose which shot is best and tell MICTHESLIK on Saturday or Sunday…
DEADLINE FOR JUDGE TO INFORM MICTHESLIK: 8 PM GMT SUNDAY
The winner will be announced Sunday evening.

THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!

And, your winning shot goes into the Personal Portfolios!

...

4. The winner should decide on the next competition, and, by MONDAY NIGHT 8:00 GMT, send MICTHESLIK one pic plus a short text to describe the competition and what they are looking for. Also send another couple of your best shots.

We will start the new competition on Monday night, so people have 5 evenings to produce their entries.

...

5. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules. In the spirit of StudioV, we're all aviation and aviation screenie fans, and friends, and so just about everything goes. Rules are secondary, and no questions needed.

It might be an idea to check out our Judge's work, see what he likes....

TWO 'IMPORTANT' NOTES

A. The main point is that you get to be the judge – but the winning shot will extend your portfolio….

B. If people don’t meet the dead-lines, don’t be surprised if MICTHESLIK makes the choices or even the competition for you. Studio V must ‘run on time’….  Sorry to be evil about this but it’s for the greater good, as it were.

...

What is that sound I hear? Why, ‘tis the sound of many engines, all roaring in unison, yes!!

Where is Mr. Jake's tutorial on fs-recorder?  it looked like the first post in this thread didn't actually give the link.  Did I miss it?

This was a tough one for compression to handle Undecided ....

Rough day for ATC Grin

Uncompressed... still low resolution unfortunately

I doubt this will go far, considering what compression did to it, but hey, it gave me something to do Grin

Nick

Even though composites are allowed, i believe it must include FS aircraft, not some photos off some site. Sad
