Hi All

Your friendly local entrepreneur here again with another new free service...

I am able to offer the following as a free service to anyone who is interested:

FREE domain name - http://yourname.port10.com/
FREE matching email addresses - someone@yourname.port10.com
FREE easy to use File Manager available 24/7
FREE of advertisments and pop-ups

Dedicated FTP accounts for those who prefer it can also be arranged with a little notice.

This is professional quality hosting on fast Linux servers located in the UK. A good friend of mine runs his own hosting & design agency, and has kindly agreed to provide this free service.

As the service is only available to VA organisations, the signup form is not on the main page, to prevent non-VA's signing up.

If you're interested, please proceed to http://www.port10.com/vaproceed/index.php and fill in the necessary details.

The only thing that may be a 'catch' is that we're not able to offer the level of support of a fully fledged hosting company, but will do out best via email! However when I am online there is a live help feature for you to contact me.

*** We cannot currently host top level domain names (.com, .co.uk etc) but these can be forwarded to your port10.com account ***

If you want good quality free space and are not too bothered about doing business over email - you might just have found your new online home!

All accounts are set up within 1 hour of me receiving your request. If I'm offline, I'll see to it as soon as I can. Please bear with me on that one!

PS: VArecruit is coming along very nicely!

Hope that this is of interest to someone!

Sorry if Im suspicious, but it looks like you have been posting contact forms which would leave me to believe if I filled out one of those forms my inbox would be filled with SPAM?

Just an opinion, but it takes more then 2 posts to build trust.

Hi

No problem.  I can understand your concerns.

The information that is collected by these forms is simply sent to a MySQL Database, which in turn activates a program running on the server to create a subdomain and FTP account.

I know I'm a new member here but have been a member at other forums for many months/years and can ony offer you my personal guarantee that there is no ulterior motive for collecting your email address, other than so we can contact you regarding your free hosting account!

No-one is under obligation to register, however having tried to find decent free hosting for my virtual airline in the past I found it to be a somewhat arduous process.  You're either forced to have pop-up's, advertisments which take up half your space or what have you.

I am simply offering something back to the VA community: free hosting and free subdomain name.  No catch.  No gimmicks.  No ulterior motives!

I can't say or do any more than this to try to allay your concerns.  I hope I've gone some way to doing just that.  I dare say once a few people sign up and see that they don't get bombarded with junk mail or spam, only then can my guarantees be confirmed.

To clarify - the ONLY place that your email address will ever be stored is in the Database.  No public access to the Database is possible!

Anyway, I hope that this has been of some help to you!

Regards

JP

Thanks JP,

Thanks for the information. Sounds like a good program for those interested in running a VA!
