Good afternoon/morning people.

Welcome to the second installment of "The Very Best... of Joe Bloggs". This is the article where I look at the various screenartists around and each weekend I will choose one, show their best work, and write a little bit about them and their work.

...

Today I have chosen to look at the work of a relatively new member of these forums, but one who has made an immidiate and exceptional entry. His work is very often of a very high quality as he combines what aare normally great screenshots in themselves with the powers of editing and photos that are blended with near perfection into a peice of what can only really be called screenART.

Today i am looking at

KLEEN HARRY

...

...

Kleen Harry is very new on these forums, he is, however, also a member of screenshotart.com if i am not mistaken which is where he may have learned the tricks of the trade.  In all of his screenshots there is a certain amount of precision. This is likely to be mostly out of having perfected his ideas and knowing all there is to know about editing, there may also be an amount of luck in there aswell.  For example, if you look at the following screenshot, called "Quad", the subject is the aircraft but had the background of the picture not been done in the same way there would be a massive lack in the boldness and the overall effect of the screenshot.

...

As you can see the background and the scenery is of a very cold, unforgiving and somewhat plain nature. There isnt much to look at in the way of scenery and therefore your eyes are certainly not drawn to the scenery. In addition to this there are not even any specifically detailed weather scenarios present, a light, grey, boring and uneventful day is the picture imposed. A trick that is very successful in this screenshot.
This therefore brings your eyes more to focus on three main areas of the screenshot, obviously the aircraft itself, the runway lighting and the sun.  In all three main areas here there is little colour, it is a mixture of cold light blues, whites and greys, even then looking at the sun. The sun is the aspect which you would expect in a normal day to lighten up the area and bing out the colour, yet as it seems even the sun is unable to do this.
Therefore the whole shot gives you that cold feeling of the thoughts which must be going through the minds of the pilots, the escape from the drearyness which they are currently in.  The colours, or lack of colours, blend in exceptional fashion and are done in a way that, as i have described, draws your attention to the areas where it is wanted. A great screenshot!

...

...

This next screenshot, the last of those which i am showing you today, is a different shot entirely to that of "quad". This shot is called "The Rookie" and again there are multiple factors which make this as good as it is.

...

The first thing that i saw when i looked at this screenshot is the two WWII aircraft flying along in what seems like "paradise". The aircraft are centered well and the colours and reflection on the aircraft bring them out of the picture and really make them look realistic to an extent you would not expect to see from flight simulator. In contrast to that of "Quad" the colours are oustanding, bold and they blend fantastically, from the trees on the islands to the sea, sky and aircraft.
Another good point about this screenshot is the introduction of comedy to the shot, the wheels left extended by "The Rookie" pilot.
Not only this but introduction of warfare to an area of what seems like paradise really makes the shot stand out more. There may not be as much to say about this shot but that is by no means a bad thing, it is simple yet exceedingly effective.

Kleen Harry is just one of many fantastic editors around the V and one who i hope can stay with us for a long time to come, and one who i hope can continue to better his previous work, perfecting the skill.

That is all for my article today.
I hope you have enjoyed this and "watch this space" next weekend as i will be giving you the very best of....

Ah yes, well, impact... One of my specialty areas, you know. Started out in '61... no, '62... ramming a red Ford Falcon. Couldn't stand that insipid red! Went on to ram a Lincoln Continental in '63 and, perhaps my greatest, was a GTO in '64. The GTO was a tough one as he was fleeing at full speed at the time.

It has, however, taken it's toll on my anatomy which is why I am envious of Krigl's handsome countenance.

Yes, Brett, I remember some to them too, from time to time, when my Old Timer's disease isn't acting up. Sometimes, however, I get a bit confused and think that I made images by voodoo1 or brettr 10. Can't complain though as that's when I'm most pleased with myself.
