Well a new freeware model is out and it's getting a lot of talk. It's the FS Tutoriels Cessna 150. This plane should be a GA flyer's magnet.
Found Here:
http://drk.free.fr/tutoriels/creation/c150_en.php
Two versions are included in this package.
Aerobatic
Commuter
This plane has everything you'll expect in a payware model. The interior has a very nice VC and perfect real life tools like the real life check list and compass. The windows are blurred just like the real life Cessna 150. This plane doesn't have a 2D cockpit. Though what it lacks it makes up in it's superior freeware Virtual Cockpit. The view from the VC is quite easy. The gauges in the VC isn't that hard to read. Everything that a real pilot expects from the real Cessna 150 cockpit is in this model.
The exterior model is painted with scars and scruffs of the real thing. The paint work speaks for itself. It has a good reflective texturing on the whole body.
This plane is a must have for all you GA flyers out there.
The plane model doesn't have any effect on the FPS. My FPS dropped about 1 or 2. Very easy to use if you are familiar to the default Cessna planes.
Pros: Good VC, Good Paint, Easy to Fly, Well Put Flight Dynamics
Cons: No 2D panel, Mostly Default Sounds, No GPS or the Default FS buttons
More textures for the plane will be released with a couple of weeks as the publisher said.
I would recommend this plane to anyone asking.

Since when did you start doing reviews?
Anyway you did a nice job. The 150 is fun to fly.

Since I downloaded the 150. I just loved flying it around the English country side or buzzing around Downtown LA.
You will be expecting more freeware reviews from me.

Nice review but a few little errors...
It DOES have a GPS. Click on the mirror thingy in the center of the dash and viola! Little GPS. Practically unusable, but who needs it?
Sounds: They are semi default, but not bad (at least with my speakers they sound much better than default). I think you may have missed the nuiances. For examle, when the engine is off you can hear the whine of the gyros, and when you turn of the battery there is a very nice sound of them winding down. When you turn on the battery with the engine off you also get a nice spool up sound from the gyros.
And while yes, there is not 2D panel, if they had just implemented the technique used on Warrick Carter's P-51 you would never notice (In the mustang it skips the 2D panel). The 3D gauges and the overall functionallity make a 2D panel pointless, however it would be nice to have a popup for radios and a gps as previously mentioned, but both of those are easy as pie to do. Actually giving it a panel would take 2 seconds. Just copy and paste the panel from one of the default Cessnas but make sure to overwrite the virtual cockpit entries in the panel.cfg with those of the C150 (if there are any, I know that on some planes with 3D gauges the panel is nonexistent altogether)

Say a1, would you mind if I wrote a review on this plane too? This one is good but kinda vague - it doesn't go into detail about the features of it.
