I had an old shot i took of an f-18 at night that i really liked, but since it was so dark it was ruined. I recently took it into gimp and paint.net to see if i couldn't improve it. Here are the results. Tell me what you think.
Edit:
The compressed version was just horrid so i had to link to the uncompressed version.

It still sorta appears to be night time... All the lights on the land are on and bright for example

It's still supposed to look like night time, i just wanted the plane to be visible.
And Cobra, i want an honest answer. As harsh as it gets, but if you could make it somewhat constructive that'd be great.
I wasn't exactly working with the greatest starting image, so i know it's not that great.

Actually, I think it's quite cool how you've changed this shot. The fact that the plane is even visible now, taking the original shot into consideration, is way cool. The only thing though is the 16-bit like colours... but I guess that was all part of the process of getting it that way... interesting edit... nice work!

Well, you certainly got it visible, but the blotchiness of the colours and the strange lighting around the cockpit don't look that great... sorry
Amazing what these editing programs can do, though.
