To be fair, a lot of readme's are pretty useless.  I usually only read them when I run in to problems.  Then I google search the problem, then I ask around on forums.

I have FlightGear installed but it's the most incomprehensible thing I have ever seen.  It must have been designed for Linux and ported to Windows because it has a typical Linux lack of documentation.  It uses all sorts of weird .cfg files that have no documentation.

You can't get any help because most of the help links at flightgear.org are dead.

Other than that it works fine.

That's the right way to do, but still...most readme's I've read at least contained some short installation instructions.
