Good morning/afternoon (or whatever the time of day is when you read this) ladies and gentlemen.
This is a new article to the Studio V in which i will be selecting one screenshot artist from around the V in any of the different genres, being payware, freeware or editeds. This will be a fortnightly project in which i will select the best of the selected artist and post them along with a shot paragraph or two as to why i have chosen that person and what appeals most about their work.
Well then... to business?

The first "Best of Joe Bloggs" is dedicated to ...
MEES
The reason i have chosen Mees' work to highlight for my first of these set of articles is because he may not be in the very top echers of screenshot art but he, in my eyes, has some of the best screenshots here on the V.
Mees may not have the best in the selection and composition of his screenshots but what he does have brings them out a lot.
Mees uses an incredible mixture of a fantastic rig, exceptionally sharp images, great lighting and colours, fantastic scenery and exceptionally detailed models which he manages to bring the best out of every single time. On top of this with the use of what is likely to be a mixture of programs and modules he gets some of the best angles out of the simulator as anyone else here does.
I ask you, where else do you see some of the angles that are shown right here?
Obviously some of this ability comes down to the quality of the rig and payware products that he own and uses but it still requires great skill in order to make the screenshots that he comes out with. Yet on top of this, if you look at almost all of his threads the consistency with which he produces exceptional images is almost unmatched. Every time i see a thread with his name on it i can guarantee myself that the screenshots enclosed are going to be of the highest quality. That is something that i cannot do with many, if any, other artists around this site.
Even still, he is quite underrated around the V and is not where he really deserves to be, and that is in the top echers of screenshot artists, right up there among the "Man Utds" and "Chelseas" of screenshots right here on the V.
That is all from me for now, but i will leave you with one of the shots that Mees has selected, himself, to put into his very own Personal Portfolio. Along with an edited screenshot of his that won one of the Judges Choice competitions in the recent past right here in the studio.
I hope you hav enjoyed this "Best of Joe Bloggs" presentation. Watch this space in a fortnights time for the second installment.

Cheers all
James
