Hello everybody!
I'm programming a software to easily edit the Aircraft.cfg with all the many entries.
This tool will not be for developers, but for "home users" or anybody else that often uses MS FSX or MS FS9.

I decided to make it a payware product, but as I could not find other programs for this job, I don't know,
how much money most people would spend in that tool.
That's why I made this poll.

More Infos to the editor:
It's not like a texteditor, it has a complete graphic User Interface. You will be able to change all the important values, like the manufacturer that appears in the FS aircraft list, the description, some engine data like rpm or the effectiviness of the ailerons etc. etc. etc. Cheesy

Please Vote! Thanks & Greetings,

your DonAlfonsoRoKil

This would be very helpful to aspiring designers (as myself, no planes yet though) too that don't fully understand the process of editing a .cfg file.

Well, when I first began to make this product, I thought I couldn't be programmed better than I was just doing. But til now, I know so many things what I could make better that I decided to first finish this product with not all entries (~250) and later make a complete new software for developers which combines the creation of the Aircraft.cfg, Panel.cfg, etc.
But that may take a while...... Wink
I think I'll need at least 2 months for my current software, and I first want to make an aeroplane (thinking of a Su-34 Fullback). So if you're waiting from now on, you can drink coffee a long time........ Cheesy

By the way: Were you one of those who voted for 0€ or for 10€-20€ in my poll?! Smiley)

DonAlfonsoRoKil,

I might be mistaken about the product or the company, but I THINK that Flight1 is giving away this same kind of product for FSX right now.  Food for thought, if I am correct.

If so... you'll have to "build a better mousetrap" I think.  Best of luck with the project.

Like I said, I am possibly wrong with the company.  I remember reading something about it somewhere on the net.

It's TweakFS. https://www.tweakfs.com/store/

Not sure about FSX but previous versions of FS included the FSEdit utility which is a tad buggy but does a similar job. I think this was also available in the FS9 SDKs.

thanks for the info. I think there I'll have no chance. I'll better go back to design a nice fighter for FSX, thinking of a Su-34 Fullback.....
I already deleted the poll because I now won't need it anymore.

ciao
