Well, I tried this question in the FSX forum and it was completely ignored, so I will try here. I suppose I run the risk of the usual pirate comments, but here goes. On Amazon it is possible to by second hand FSX at considerable cost saving. As FSX has to be registered will the registration be accepted or will I have to for example buy a key thus putting the price up to that of a new copy.

Hmmm you might have to buy a key or you could try asking MS REALLY REALLY politely Wink

I doubt that those DVD keys are personalized, so you might just buy a copy of FSX and - if the activation fails - call MS and explain that you bought it second hand.

No biggie in that.

There are plenty of second had copies to be had, cant see it being a big problem, but I do not want to end up having to shell out for a key, when at the end of the day it would have then cost me the price of a new one.

Amazon second hand UK

Amazon second hand Germany
