I just found this slick little add on application program that I just HAVE to share here. I THINK it is most appropriate listed here... and not in "other sites"........ but I'm not really sure.
Sky Blue Radio is a flight sim oriented online radio program that features not only music, but also talk shows that are flight sim oriented, news that is about flight sim, and commercials that are about flight sim. So sort of a simmer's dream station.
They have this little APP that you can install on your machine that feeds the audio stream into the sim when you tune your Comm 2 radio to 123.45. I have tested it and it works slick as heck. It is called "Wee Tunes Beestie".
In my simpit, for ATC control the Teamspeak program is running on the #2 computer in the pit that also drives the ND display and some Phidgets interfacing. This computer drives the headset/mike in the pit so that the Teamspeak audio comes only to the phones, and all the sim sounds from the main #1 machine go to the 5.1 system installed there. Adds a lot of realism.
What I did was install the little music app on THAT machine. Because that machine is running WideFS.... it THINKS that the sim is installed on that machine. SO, now I can have a radio station playing in my headphones whenever I want by tuning my radios, and STILL hear the ATC / Teamspeak stuff at the same time. If I need to "kill" the radio I just change frequency on that radio.
Give it a try..... I think you'll like it.
