Apart from the Red Arrows & the highly unlikely appearance of the Vulcan it's not clear what this flypast will consist of. It's quite likely that most of the aircraft will be at Kemble anyway.
Well, if (and I don't think they can?) helicopters could fly over London that would be a start, Sea Kings, Chinooks etc would be relevant. Whilst not exact a Harrier GR7/9 or two from 800NAS would fit the bill nicely, but again, Harriers tend not to be allowed over London due to their having a single engine. The VC-10 had a part to play in the conflict and, although not involved in the actual war, Tristars currently perform the 'shuttle runs' between the Falklands and the UK. Not forgetting of course there are currently Hercules and Tornado F3 types based over there today. Not to mention the Nimrod R.1s at Waddington.
It doesn't have to be exact (in my opinion) just a general tribute with some types that have a link to the islands in the past or present. Other than that it's a good excuse for the RAF to show off it's main assets!
Of course, we have yet to see whether it will really be relevant or just a bunch of flypats that look very like the ones for the Queens birthday.
