Bear Grylls, his show on the Discovery channel is a good example sometimes of what you probably shouldn't do to survive in the wild, but I'll give him credit, this, and some of the other things he's done are quite impressive. Cool

Spitfire boy is my nickname. Doug is my real name. Imagine having the name 'Bear Grylls' being bestowed upon you at birth. Shocked Huh

I don't know. Modern naming patterns are getting more and more ridiculous. Wink

I presume the reason he didn't take a jet up was because that would have been relatively easy... and doubtless someone has done it before. He wanted to challenge himself.

It's what I thought at first... I thought his real name might be something like 'Herbert Montgomerie' or 'Julian Baker-Smith' Wink. But then the Beeb use the name in a factual report... I'm unsure.
