1.Yes the computer belongs to me and me only
2.I am the only one as I have it password protected.
3.NO router policy in my life.
4.I have tried everything.

Even GRV3964 is having the same problems.

When John B mentioned some time ago that the problem may lie with the Service Provider limiting access to other Internet addresses, via their own address, during on-line Multiplayer Games...!

I checked this with my Service Provider who assured me that they were aware of this point and that in my case all their ports were open to allow on-line Multiplayer games activity between addresses...no problem...Wink...!

Paul....Simple DSL Modem...(no Router)....and a Phone line.... Cool...!

Can I ask a simple question? If there is no one online or only a few of which we know have no router or the proper ports opened, you still have trouble connecting? If so, what anti-virus program are you running? If this happens to be NOD32 you are having a problem. NOD32 blocks things like multi-player. I had problems connecting even with only 1 or no persons online until I uninstalled NOD32. Just ending the program was not enough, I had to uninstall it. Maybe there are more anti-virus programs acting this way?

All of the computers we have used Mcafee Security Centre, if some people are online who have no router problems I can get onto multiplayer.

I had to ditch McAfee a few years ago... it was causing such problems for me in LOTS of stuff.  Now AVG.  Sorted.  Might be worth a look see........ not sure if it is contributing to your problems.

best,

..........john

When I first got FS9 I followed all the instructions I could find on making sure the antivirus will not inturupt multiplayer. I follwed from MS, the start up guide in the box and here of course.

Even so, it could be contributing to the problem. Never rule anything out.
