I thought this one would win too, congratulations JJM. It was a very well crafted shot, and may well have changed the tenor of future competitions. I feel that a lot of people will be composing their shots based on yours in the future.
At the same time, it wasn't what I voted for. Harold got my vote this time around. Another well crafted shot HK
Thanks to the 20 reprobates that voted for me, nice to be appreciated even if not universally
And for those asking about next month's competition.......chill out!
These things come around often enough (almost monthly
).

yeah, Dave how long till mays contest
Let's put it this way,
We here at Simviation have a contest every month.
When it starts is any body's guess... We all know that!
I do say that the quality of shots are really getting great!!
The StudioV is a great place to learn the art!
I see improvements every month.
Give me some time, the weather is warm, my 2 little girls wanna hang out with Daddy and SimV is looking for a May 2007 Screenshot contest.
Dave is off to look for a prize.....

Wow….Holy #*$%, I won?
Many, Many thanks to all who voted for me, and to The Judges who selected my shot for the finales, you made me very happy.
To the finalist, Fantastic shots, truly an honor and very challenging to compete against. ALL a cut-above.
Many (great shots) submitted that were a cut-above. I would like to encourage all to give next months contest a go.
THE SHOT
Great Sikorsky S70A helicopter by Jordan Moore
Shot idea yes (Katuhu) was from apocalypse now.
Hardest part of shot was finding airport (TKPN) with runway ending just short of an unobstructed beach with sun rise in right position.
It was Harold Kips great shot that inspired me to put great effort in mine. Thanks Harold
Thanks to all who comment on my posts. Your thoughts and encouragement are why I thought I’d give this contest a go.
Looking forward to pilot the apache and trying some sneak and peek shots.
I feel fantastic that so many sim buds liked my shot-THANK-YOU……..
