Anyways here's the problem. I was backing up my addon files that are on my flight sim computer. But I forgot to backup 3 of my payware addons so now I can't recover it because I've already done a reformat and discovered this when I installing FS9. The payware addons are the PMDG 747 and 737. The PMDG site has a service called "Extended Downloads" and charge $3. So I purchased the ones pertaining to the setup files I need to redownload. I did that on Thursday night. However, I have not recieved the links to redownload the PMDG setup files and its been 2 day already.

So I'm wondering if anyone on here who owns the PMDG 747, may I have the PMDG setup file? I want to let you all know that this is not a solicitation for pirated versions and I am ready to forward the reciept that was emailed to me from PMDG when I bought the 747 back in February, to anyone who needs proof that I bought this software. I have my own order number which was given to me upon purchase and is to be used to activate the software. I just need the setup file to reinstall the jet and get back to simming again.

Its an honest mistake that I made during the backing up process but I'm running out of patience for this Extended Download Service that I purchased 2 days ago to kick in.

Hate to say it.... but two days is NOT an unreasonable amount of time.  It is only "internet instant gratification syndrome" that makes it FEEL that way.  Not every company has a 24/7 internet LIVE presence.  Most flightsim add on companies are running on a VERY low overhead and with few people actuall employed fulltime.

Cut them some slack..... and have some patience........ it is not like this is the real world and passengers are stranded at the gate demanding their money back because thay missed their business presentation in Atlanta or Paris, or wherever.   Wink

The thing that bothers me the most about this is I had to pay the additional $3 for this extended download service. It doesn't make sense. I bought the 737NG and the 737/800 and the 747-400 all totalling to $122.89 and I have to pay an additional $3.95 each to be able to redownload files????? There are other ways to protect software without having the consumers pay more. Now with the extended service its a matter of waiting for something I already paid for when all they have to do is have the files available in the members area, og on to your account and the files are available for downloading. No waiting. No expired links and happy customers.

The best way of ensuring you don't have to pay any more for your payware is to BACK IT UP  Grin Grin.

All my payware is on DVD's where I can get to it if necessary.

Asking for people to send you copies of their payware products is strictly against the rules of this site.... as John has said be patient and wait for a reply from PMDG.

I have three copies of all my mods. You should do that too!

Anyway I would wait atleast a week where I would email PMDG's tech support.
