This has a really interesting and unique angle in my opinion. The cockpit and front of the plane which is often the center of focus seems far away, while the underside of the wing, rarely shown, is very prominent. This combined with nice composition (diagonal lines and rule of thirds) makes for a great shot.

I think the angle is very nice. It shows the plane as a photographer would show it... And it is noticeable that the plane is very big!

I like that. It makes the aircraft stand out more.

The original shot is fantastic, looks very realistic. The only thing missing imho, is some weather, in terms of better clouds and/or rain etc

Excellent pic, nothing really to rip! Makes you feel dwarfed by the size...
As was said though, if you are really going for realism then grey skies and even rain might give an added air of authenticity....but hey, the weather is nice sometimes

Yeah, I was going to say something about the sky too. Imho, it's just too blue! Especially if you compare it to the rest of the pic. If it really was that blue, the plane and the scenery would be bathing in light from the bright sun. I also think the sky colour isn't realistic, the blue is too 'deep' or, too purple or something...
The rest of the pic is super nice! Except for the ground, wich looks rubbish, but there's no way you can help that, can you?
(Don't even think about cropping it out!!
)

Thanks for the help.
I think the sky is that blue because the whole shot was brightened using photoshop. The original is very dark so I brightened a little so you could actually see what is in the shot.

The diagonal wing makes this shot really appealing to look at...but as has been said, more drastic weather would help
