Agreed. Media Player Classic also comes inside a little software package called Real Alternative. It has an option to install MP Classic... the one BEFORE MS screwed with it years ago and has FULL control of the media being played, including surround sound. Real Alternative plays real player files in the classic player so you do not have to install RM spyware real player program to listed to real media.

The only difference between classic and WMP 9-10-11 is the sound boosting features.. and the fact that it does not call home every chance it gets to let its daddy know what you have been watching or listening too.

What REALLY annoys me, is when I try to download a music or video file, a pop-up window insists that I download and install the very latest version of Windows Media Player FIRST!.....
...otherwise I wont be allowed to run the music/video file!...ARSE!... Angry
