I can't seem to stop making these. They are just two much fun. I will soon be introducing 360VR spherical images (which some of these are cropped from). I just need to figure out how to enable you to view them!

Just to clarify, in photo #2, the helicopter is hovering over Pittsburg. And in the third shot, the Lear is flying over New York city. The distorted images may throw you off as to the correct location.

As for how these images were created, well, I am a photographer and I have been experimenting with 360VR tours for my real estate clients. I found that the views in FS had the perfect conditions to create these types of images! Basically you need to take a screenshot of every angle in the scene and then stitch them together using pano stitching software. It is not to difficult but there are a lot of little detail things that can hang you up. It also does take a bit of time.

I created the image below early this morning. It is made up of 25 individual screenshots and measures 4,800 by 2,400 pixels! It is not stitched together properly due to the lack of detail (needed as refernce points)

When this image is viewed in a VR viewer like Quick Time, it would be as if you were in the game using your hat knob to look all around. I want to finish a group of them and then invite you to view them! I have done some searching on Google and I have not found any refernce to this sort of thing being done before. I may be wrong, or mabey I didn't do a complete search, but I am a bit tickled to say the least that this may in fact be a first!

There is one more thing I am looking into. I am trying to find a way to capture video of my real time game play or replays with separate software and edit them to create short exciting movies that can be shared over the web. I can imagine seeing perfect landings, stunts at airshows, fighter jets on manuvers through moutains just over the tree tops or whatever!!

Thanks for sharing with us how you are making these... I wonder if it's possible in photoshop... might give it a go

I believe the most popular way to capture ingame videos is by using FRAPS and then editing them with Sony Vegas, but might be wrong, never tried it myself.
