01:23 AM. Chernobyl explodes, contaminating the surrounding area. Mi-26 Halo's are scrambled to the site in order to help remove waste. The town of Pripyat is evacuated. Nikolai Melnik, one of Kamov Industries top pilots, is called in to place radiation sensors on Reactor #4.

This means alot to me, specifically because my dad died of cancer, one of the main effects of Chernobyl...

Pripyat was evacuated on the 27th...


And the incident was kept secret until a few days after.
