sounds good krigl. but you have to remember that the writers have other commitments and for many of us the V is at the bottom of the pile... nothing personal ofcourse just life is suppose. but i do plan on writing a few tutorials once my exams are over :
congrats krigl
john
That's exactly my point - I realise the V isn't of more importance than life, work, family
At least to some people
However, regular features need commitment to go through with them even when you're busy or tired, otherwise people get disappointed after putting in their own time, and find it harder and harder to take new things or the V or the Studio seriously. So anyone starting something new needs to ask themselves - am I prepared to put an hour a week into this even when I'm up to my eyeballs in work or whatever. I am - thats why I took on some new responsibility. It makes me happy to see people posting and competing. For me it's worth the tiredness and so on...
If the answers 'no', though, then perhaps just do something one off when you're in the mood - writing one off tutorials, features and other things is great, adds a lot to the Studio and makes a contribution to the site itself, and it's something many people can do!
That's all I'm saying. Not condemning anyone!!
Let's not make a controversy out of this
Pm me if you want to discuss this further, John.
Cheers!

Let's let Roger start with figuring out how to "navigate" the forums.
The new Yabb has allot of "moderator" functions and it takes a while to get used to.
I would submit any "applications" in a month or so or wait for Roger to get a grip on this place already.
This forum requires a lot of personal time to keep up with all the activity.
Let's just let Roger get comfortable//
This round is are on pete...

Congrats Roger...I was thinking you'd get it soon
.
As for the editing competition, I have been thinking of this too and I think it would be a wonderful addition. It doesn't have to be all formal with prizes and everything...and I think we would get more entries if we tried the Screenshotart style...I know I'd be interested

I am inclined to agree, especially the informal, fun bit.... but perhaps we could let the idea bubble and cook for a short while, if you take my drift.... I'll run it by Clipper.. who is alive and well, just momentarily out of action
I am at the tail end of a very hectic time at work... and my first priority is to get the gallery sorted... it will be done by the end of the weekend
Cheers
