I spoke to Danny on the phone today about needing to have somebody with administrative rights to run this forum.
He agrees and is very happy that Roger has stepped up to the plate. He can not think of anybody else who would be right for the job! I spoke to Roger earlier about Danny's recent absence due to some real life personal issues and Roger is excited to help out!
I told Danny that we are all wishing him well and as soon as he sorts his real life, he is more than welcome back to his position here at StudioV!
After all, he is the founder!
Good luck Roger!!!

Thanks guys for the good wishes!! I hope I can do a good job!
I would like to say that Studio V is very much Clipper's creation, and I'm not his replacement but a caretaker until he gets back. However, I hope to remain involved even after that event.
Basically I will be keeping things going with the competitions as usual, so no change there...
I hope to update the gallery and invite new contributions to the members portfolios, as well as unearth the portfolios from where they are so people can look at them more easily. However, this seems not to be possible so far (we don't know why) but it is being dealt with.
In a few days I will be moving into a 4 month 'rest period' from teaching and will have more time to try to get some other fun things going in the V - I'm no Clipper but with help from the Studio V regulars I expect we can rustle something up...
Can I just take the opportunity to encourage people to contribute to the Studio - rip this pic, reviews of new stuff, your personal views on screenshooting - anything at all that deals with the screenshooting side of the FS hobby is welcome.
And when something does go up, if people could comment on it so the poster feels it was worthwhile to post that would be great!!
Thanks again guys, and have a good evening
Krigl

Well, Mic, a cautious yes... ideas are definitely welcome for the Studio!!!!!
I think people would like it and it is different from the other two comps. On the other hand, we don't want the Studio to only be filled with competitions - already half the threads on page one are by me (like, booooring
) and concerned with polls, winner announcements and the like. You know what I mean?
However, now I can actually change my posts I hope I will be able to streamline things a bit by converting threads...ie from a gallery nominations thread to a gallery poll thread, thus saving space...
If you are going to start a regular feature you need to be sure you will keep up the level of commitment - we've seen so many things be given up on by the authors....
We can discuss it further by PM

Krigl
sounds good krigl. but you have to remember that the writers have other commitments and for many of us the V is at the bottom of the pile... nothing personal ofcourse just life is suppose. but i do plan on writing a few tutorials once my exams are over
in a month or so, or maybe before hand if i can get on top of the revision... either way....
congrats krigl
