Undecided Has anyone competent at designing airport scenery considered the old HMS Daedalus Joint Services Airfiled at Lee on Solent UK?

Microsoft designers do not even know that it exisits.

But.......

It is currently the base for HM Coastguard Sea Air Resuce helicopter service,  the Hampshire Police BN 2T-4S Islander,  a number of historic aircraft are based here--including a Catalina. It is used regulerly for gliders and light aircraft. All three runways are useable. The main runway has lights. In one corner is the airfiel some hangers are used for the Hovercraft Museum.  It has a number of WW1 hangers still in use and other more modern buildings.

It has recently been purchased by Hampshire Police (I belive) which secures its future for all of these uses.

This was also one of the first UK airports in the days of flying boats. The hugh slipway still exists which connects the airfield for launching flying boats into the Solent.

It is clearly visible on Google Earth for anyone interested.

If anyone can create a model for this most interesting place I will be pleased to supply as many photos as required as I live quite close.
