Hey all. Just to let you know the historic jet airshow will be held at LFML (Marseille) on the 5th of May. This will be at approx 5:00 GMT (So as to not interfere with the weekly tour at 8:00 pm). If anyone else wants to fly post in this thread. Rules and further info will be posted here soon.

5PM GMT would be 12:00PM EST? I might be a tad late, but if you'll allow it, I can do an SR-71 fly-by

I'll fly the
Canberra PR.9
Although, if Mic's wanting to fly the Canberra, I can always fly a different mark (T.17 or something).

I'd like to fly a Vicker VC10. I know it's not an enitrely realistic choice but I think I manage a decent display without doing anything beyond the aircraft.
It's a classic that deserves to be shown.
Apologies for the 8MB size, but it's the smallest equivalent I could find.
Filename - jbs_vc10.zip
I found it on avs*m at
http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=62687
, couldn't search it out on Simv...
If it's not a problem, I'd like to operate out of nearby LFMY for my display please (ie I go there the display before and takeoff to hold).

Ok, heres the preliminary list (not in order) -
UK:
Sea Vixen - MrJake2002
Sea Hawk - MrJake2002
Vulcan - Cspyro21
Gnat - Jon Rose
Canberra - Tweek
VC10 - Heathaze
US:
Thunderstreak(?) - Jon Rose
SR71 Flypast - Isak922
F86 - Mictheslik
Other:
SU-15 - Bird Nerd
Civil:
DC-8-62 - Bonair22
Plus the debut of the new historic jet team!
Would be nice if someone flew the hunter and we got a couple more US aircraft but i think the list looks pretty good!

Yeah thats fine
. Can you land at LFML ok or is the runway too short? (I could put you first and you could take off from LFMY and land at LFML after the display)

All being well I will be at Duxford so I can't make it but as I'm not on the program I guess that's OK.

It's not the runway length that is the issue, it's my reset times (between passes is ok, it's just to begin and land that are slow). If there is a display before me that gives me time to get to the venue without making everyone sit and wait for me to turn up, likewise if I land elsewhere you can continue the display without waiting for my long time to get into the approach.

OK...Just found out after much confusion that the airshow is on the 6th wahay....now I can do both
Put me down for an F86 display.....I'll be using Kirk Olssons F86, but If anybody doesnt have it and doesnt want to download 28Mb
Here
, I will change to
This one
Which is only 1.2 Mb before the display
.mic
PS...I was going to Duxford....but at 2 weeks notice the train fares were expensive

if the F/A-18 isn't old enough the blue angels used F-4's (although it wouldn't be the same I guess)
