These flipping news companys cant even go to the lengths of finding a picture of the right aircraft model or the crash!!

It would appear that the pilots ok at the moment but he got some injurys from ejecting

How come they're so good at selling weapons to dictatorships but they can't even keep the RAF flying? Grin

In Germany, they say BAe stands for "British Antique Equipment". Working on the BAe146, I some times think they are right, though I do try to correct them saying it stands for "British Advanced Engineering" Grin

My best friend used to build 146s at Hatfield. Having heard the horror stories you'll never get me on one! My favourite was getting the wiring loom to fit. String it between two points and get the fatest bloke in the factory to use it as a swing and stretch it Shocked

Unfortunately, Hawks crashing at airfield with solo students seem to have tended to be pilot error in the past (although I'm not speculating on that quite yet). PPrune has mentioned the old flapless circuit.

BAe? Top quality engineering - you should try a turboprop trainer built by redundant ship builders in Belfast! Grin
