While browsing another forum i read this - Quote:
Hi All,

While at the MacDill Airshow a couple of weeks ago my father was lucky enough to speak to the pilot of the F-22 on display and according to him there are plans for two of their aircraft from Tyndall AFB to participate in this years International Air Tattoo. One of the aircraft is also due to take part in the flying programme.

Hope this is of some interest to you all, as I know you were all wondering.
Cheers Andy.

I hope this is true! (the f22 also features on this years poster) Smiley

Calm down chaps, this is still a rumour, nothing more. Until the RIAT team confirm it, and it's touching down at Fairford don't get your hopes up, because things can change.

In reality, until its there flying infront of you, its not certain to be there. I've been to countless airshows where a flying aircraft has been cancelled from the display, for mechanical or operational reasons.

Hello all

Firstly I will introduce myself I am Adam I work at the Royal International Air Tattoo. There are rumours around staff about the F22 being at the airshow this year, those rumours have been around since last year. They are hoping as its the anniversary of the USAF they will produce a good turn out.  When I know for sure, I will post and let you guys/gals know. However even when confirmed, nobody can 100% say that they will be there on the day - like many of you have said. However so far the B52, B1 and the stealth aircraft will be back this year.

I've heard no solid facts saying they'll be in the flying display. Any such remarks will just be speculation.

However, there are going to be static Su-30s at Waddington (along with an IL-76 and IL-78 as support). If there are any Flankers to attend RIAT, they'll probably be in the static.

I wouldn't say no to a flying example, though.

According to the official CF-18 display dates, it's no longer supposed to be attending RIAT. Dunno how true it is, but I'm going by the Canadian's schedule, rather than the speculated.
