I just installed a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver Mk I for FS2000 Version 7 and cannot get any of the aircraft sounds to work.  the air
traffic control works, and I get enviroment sounds, but no sounds from the plane.  The file that I downloaded was UPbvr02.zip
This is 3 variations of the same plane.  Each plane has it's sound.cfg file but dosen't have the sound files that it points to.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rod

Anatomy of a sound.cfg:

[FLTSIM]
alias=Douglas_DC3/sound

When you need to assign the noises and other sounds of a plane to another, you can simply use the "alias" command as depicted in the example above.

After the alias command be sure to have written the folder name of the airplane in which sound folder are there the sound files (if there is another aliased sound.cfg it will not work). If it doesn't on its own, nothing forbids you to change it so it does point to a plane's folder with resident sounds.

Same technique works with little modification for panels too.

Thank you Ashaman, I found the sound files I was looking for, but your tip to use the alias command will be quite helpful in the future.

Thanks Again, Rod
