Choose a less boring shot to edit. This one is just blue sky and a plane. The plane itself isn't really detailed either. So except for radical colouring there isn't much you can do with this shot.

Just IMHO though

cheers

You overdarkened the shot - easy to do  Smiley - and there still isn't much background detail.

Clouds. Mountains. Buildings. Other planes. You know - details  Wink
And try more dynamic angles. Use F1 view (free from Flight1 software) to help with this.

Try to sort out your problem with jaggies too. It really takes away from a shot.

Basic rule is that usually the original has to be good for the edit to look good. Look at other people's work. Copy it. That's how I learn.....and am still learning  Roll Eyes Grin

You're definitely improving though!!!

Sorry for overdarkening it, Ive tried to download GIMP a few times.... does anyone know a mirror for it corresponding to the NorthEast of America?

Also, Krigl, I have posted in the hardware section for help with my hell Dell... and havent been able to fully cure the problem with jaggies

hmmm, struggling to think of any tips...what exactly are you trying to achieve?

Im not trying to be rude (honestly Grin) but the editing seems to be kinda random, like blur it, adjust contrast the hue. You should really have a specific goal, and if your just gonna 'fiddle' with the colours etc then have a specific mood/tone in mind. I dunno, just my view....

I would join up at www.screenshotart.com though and ask there (and be a little more specific), they know what they are talking about Wink
