News Headlines were astir about the previoua day's main event in the United States: in a majority vote of congress, the U.S. had declared war on Germany. Isolationism was over, the United States was officially a participant "the war to end all wars."*

* Undecided Armistace aside, a couple more decades indicated that we never really ended that war, let alone the occurance of others.

The terms of a treaty much affect the future -- this one provided impetus for a particular political party's rise to power, amongst a complication of Germany's social scenario.
