My latest version of the floatplane im working on, I exported it and when i started the engine in FS9 i was surprised to see the green prop disc spin like a coin rather than roll  Roll Eyes Ive been having a rough time with cutting out the pieces like the ailerons and rudder, etc.... hopefully someday, she'll meet the virtual sky  Cool

Say i'm making a aileron, I make the cutout (the operand B) and i use the cut refine tool, convert the new compoung object (the wing) to a mesh, then select the vertices (which automatically highlights the new ones) right click to bring up the menu and select detach as new object.

but then i get the back half of the wing, which i delete all the excess vertices and try to cap it and i end up with weird shapes.

i dunno Huh

Go into the pivot editing mode and expirimentate a bit with rotating that 90 degrees or so in one of the direction to get your prop facing the right way.

well new problem, i have the pieces cut out, but the flaps want to roll rather than yaw?

when i go into the heirarchy and "affect pivot only" both flaps spin any suggestions?

All you need to do is select the object, go to the heirarchy tab and click the "scale" button. Sorted.
