I've come pretty far on the FSX  C177RG and this is my first, real bump in the road.

I'm starting to animate and it seems pretty straight-forward....

-I've moved and keyed the rudder
-Run the Animation Manager with the rudder selected
-Set the start/end at 0 and 100
-Selected "rudder_percent_key" from the animation list

That's as far as I can go..   The "create"  button will not "click".

I hope I'm just overlooking something silly. You all know how it goes when you hit a wall   Roll Eyes

Brett,

What you are doing should work. Is there anything in the window directly above were you enter the key times? If there is, click on it and delete it, and then try again and see if the create button will work. Also, make sure that the part name is in the window at the top right.

Thanks Jon,

I'm trying to solve this at the FreeFlightDesign forums too.

I think there's a problem with the Animation Manager itself.. you can see where my screen-shot of it is kinda messed up.

I agree, there does seem to be a problem with it, I am not sure what to suggest though.

Do you have the SDK SP1 installed?

Yes, I do. I'm pretty sure the FSX animation manager is part of SP1, isn't it ?

One of our pals at FFDS solved this  Smiley

I had the Windows font size (DPI under advanced display settings) too high.

Setting it back to normal (96DPI) and all is well.

I would have NEVER thought of that on my own.. You'd think a CAD program and it's plug-ins would have it's own, over-riding font/resolution settings.. go figure  Huh

Thanks everyone, for your prompt help  Smiley
