Hey guys, I have recently been trying to get War Rock running again, but about 5 minutes after I start the game up, it crashes, sometimes the entire system.  I was wondering if I could get some advice about how to fix this problem.

I'm running on the lowest possible graphics setting, but with pixel shading on (it seemed to improve framerates). Also I'm running at 800 x 600 resolution.

I have a Radeon 7000 series video adapter and 512 MB of RAM. I just got a new cable modem that's pretty darn fast (I think like 3-5 MBPS top speed), but I dont think that's the problem, because the game was crashing before I installed it. If there are other specs that could help find the problem let me know.

Do those crashes happen with other games, too?

actually yes, when I played universal combat, it would crash every once and a while, but not every 5 minutes. It seems like any lag I get in warrock after a few minutes crashes it. It was the same type of thing in universal combat.

Hm.

So it isn't a hardware problem...

Might be an issue with those games themselves. They're not of high quality.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but that didnt fix it.
Could it simply not mesh well with my ancient system?

Could be.

You might be better off in some War Rock support forums with your problem, those guys there might know what's wrong.

ok well the problem must be with my system, because I was just sitting there reading in America's Army and it crashed. what could possibly just quit after a certain amount of time?

Could either be a weak PSU or the CPU getting too hot.

BF = Battlefield series

BF2 is the game that war rock rips off, and BF2 is like a million times better

If your cpu is getting hot or you want to help protect your com or you want to know thw averange temp i suggest speedfan. it's a simple program that ells you about your coms temp and fan speed(it can also change the fan speed to help cool your system.

I had an overheating problem when playing halo and stuff like that Embarrassed

But it needs a bit or tweaking. Btu you should get in like 5 min.
