....no, not really.  But lately, I've been listening to certain black metal bands and I'm sure most would disaprove of that music, so I think we're all good here.

I heard of the Bee Gees...and Rolling Stones as the opossite of the Bee Gees..








Anyone who has a good taste for the music has to like them , to Love the Beatles Music ,There won't be another band like this one, they were unique, I think every song their made are not a classic ,Are Masterpieces, I love all the music made WITH Talent, and I hate Yoko ..

Rock & pop music was in a backwater in the early 60.'s.  The wave of rock 'n' roll started by Elvis Presley and many other 50's rock 'n' roll and doo wop groups had pretty much leveled off.  Don Kirshner's brand of rock/pop, characterised by his "wall of sound" concept, took hold for awhile.  In 62-63, surf music, led by the likes of the Beach Boys, rode rather high until one group came along and knocked everything aside.  That group was the Beatles.  They started a whole new genre of rock music, practically re-creating it, and the so-called 'British Invasion', with British groups becoming super popular in the U.S.,  which occurred soon after the Beatles hit the airwaves on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964 (or January, I forget), is now legendary.  The Beatles, who were themselves influenced by early U.S. rock, turned around and then influenced all rock in a way that has continued to this day.  We all owe much, maybe even everything, to the Beatles.  Those of you who are too young did not see or hear the amazing popularity of them; every week for several years, they were on the charts, continually coming out with hit after hit and album after album, and early on, quit concertising in order to be able to better concentrate on recording (there were other reasons for them stopping concerts also, I'm sure).  For several years it was Beatles this and Beatles that, and rightly so. 

The Rolling Stones also rode the wave that was started by the Beatles and, like the Beatles, were greatly influential on all musicians listening and learning back then.  Unlike the Beatles, the Stones' very early material was not original.  They soon caught on, however, and British Rock was never the same after that. 

Two asides here:

It ain't music unless the drummer is doing blast beats! 

Can you imaging Ringo Starr doing blast beats on She's Got A Ticket To Ride?  If he did, then the Beatles would have a chance with me.

The Beatles was so suscesful that many bands came out to take advantage of what was the Beatles started,I call it "Beatles" effect, and this are some of this examples,The Beach Boys,The Bee Gees, the Rolling stones,mamas and Papas , and  many bads ,the rolling stones try to find the martket by claims themselves the Bad guys because the beatles were the good ones in that times, they became sucess AFTER beatles Split too..

maybe today the "Beatles" effect still in our society  , when the beatles Split there was a emptyness wich was imidiatly taken by the Bee Gees ,but never with the same power

No one is forcing you to like The Beatles  We're just trying to help you recognise the contributions and influences they have had in the rock and pop culture we now have.

Oh I know!  They've been tremendously influential.  I've even been known to have a Beatles album or two (dating myself) at some time.

Hey Jude is my 5 year old son's favorite song.  I'm serious on this; he's known the words since he was four, and every time I play music, he wants to hear it and asks for it my name.  I think it's probably their BEST song, not the worst...

Actually, I think both stories are true.  'Hey Jude' was originally written as 'Hey Jules' (John's son being Julian).  The original hand written lyrics went on sale a few years back and bear this out.

Given the amount of infighting in the band during the last few years, it's surprising ANYTHING got agreed to at all...

Inspired by the Beatles first films. They should have been good tunes as they were written by top musicians & songwriters. Pleasant enough to listen to but hardly influential.

Notwithstanding the spelling police....  

I'm aware they were a manufactured group, AND their music was composed and recorded by studio musicians, I STILL enjoy their music nevertheless.  In fact, I'd prefer listening to Monkeys music (miss-spelling intentional) to Beatles music!  

Thanks Kevin, I remember correctly now, it was Phil Spector for the wall of sound thing.  Don't know anything about his murder trial.

Coincidently here, just yesterday I found out from the CPA that I work for that he, at age 8, in early 1964, when the Beatles were here in Miami prepping for their Ed Sullivan Show debut, actually met and spent a few hours with them.  His father had something to do with set design, and I saw a photo of the Beatles sitting and getting made up for the show, with his father right behind Paul, and Ed Sullivan in the background.
