Reissued this  post with a few more shots.... Smiley

Here's one edit of an old shot. I wanted to try out Simplex's backlighting trick, but  I can't find the settings he mentioned in my Czech photoshop - the names are all different. I need to see screenshots of where exactly the settings are, Simplex....if you would be so kind Embarrassed  Smiley

Anyway, this  is what I came up with in the end. It's not bad, I think.

Just a colour edit.

Twin of a previous C172 landing shot.

...

Another simple colour edit of an old shot.

...

This is the twin of a tube edit I did, this time at sunrise. Or something.
Not happy with it, but tired of trying to get it to look sunrisey and viewable...

...

One of my favourite pics, edited....  'creatively'.  Roll Eyes

...

That's all for now, off to bed!!!

Number 5 is incredible. Would you mind telling me how you did it?

Glad you like it...  I like it the least, but people are different!  Smiley

I'm not sure exactly what I did - no method, just madness, but for sure there was high pass (to sharpen) and diffuse glow to soften and brighten, both on low opacity, and dodged and burned the plane and ground to add contrast. I probably did an Omni glow light source to try to flood the sky with light from the left (there was no sun originally) and then I used the eraser on low opacity or maybe the history brush to lower the glare in the centre of that light source, then I changed the levels to bring out the lights on the ground and make everything YELLOW, then I sampled the yellow colour of it and painted a bit on the plane, sky and water areas to make them yellower. I think that's about it. Like I said, I'm not happy with it - it breaks the 'less is more' rule of such editing, but the problem is I don't really know what I wanted to achieve in the first place...it's another of those 'mess around and see what happens' experiments  Roll Eyes
