How to Resize a 8 /256 image whit alpha channel ? (Read 387 times)

Hi

Im making gauges whit some reflection and hilight 
i whant to resize a  8/256 color image 
whit an alpha channel whit out losing my alpha chanel

what programme i need for that

i have paint shop pro but they not able to save image in 8/256 color whit out losing alpha

i have imagetool also but its work only whit 64,256,512,1024 format ?

i know that is possible to get other format image becose i have see some hilight  and reflection  in other gauge made by some other guys ?

pls help !

You need Martian Wrights program, DXTbmp, with the dlls to make it work.

get it here:

Just save the alpha then resize the main bmp and the alpha. then open the main bmp and import the alpha
and save as what ever you like.  Make sure you uncheck the MM option.

DxtBMP is a must have for any type of bitmap editing. It can be a bit repetitive, saving over and over, but it's the best way.

I got this programme   he can save the image only on 256,512,1024 etc etc format

i have to made my image reflection whit a custom format of 156X156  132X132 pixel that why i have trouble (if i resize all my gauge i will lost some detail on it that why i not whant to resize it, i have some gauge alpha reflection made by other guys whit any format i realy dont enderstant why i have to resize it to X2 format ???
