E3D - what can it do? Not exactly an exciting "show" aircraft. Mega buck to fly there too.

I think I've already made my feelings clear on those. Use any logo you like to "sell" as a brand for the RAF, but not a flying badge/brevet, particularly the pilot's wings.

Thank god theres no Merlin....it has to be one of the most boring RAF aircraft to watch
I think E3D is a good idea...large unusual jets close up can be good fun such as the RNZAF 757
, the problem is it's part of the role display thing

I think I'll give it a miss this year. After last year (and 4+ hours in the queue for the car park), I'm in no hurry to go back again. It was interesting, and I finally got to see some stuff I'd only seen on TV before, but I don't feel any real need to do it again. Shame because I'd really like to see the Thunderbirds, but it's not exactly local from here.
Shuttleworth, yes. Elvington, yes. Breighton, maybe. Waddington, definitely. But that'll do for 2007. (Okay, I've got a trip to Australia to pay for as well
)

I can't drive that far and back again in one day (must be getting old) so it means at least a night away, possibly two nights. The accommodation, the fuel, £32.50 at the gate... nope, not this year. I've only got one more payday before flying to Oz, and that'll put me in debt for a while after I get back as well. Ah well, maybe next year.

There was a time when I would have gone there and back in a single day, probably on a motorcycle, and enjoyed every minute of it. Like I said, I must be getting old
Besides, my taste in aviation these days leans more towards Shuttleworth than RIAT. The latest hi-tech hardware still can't beat an open cockpit biplane

'Kempsford Camping'
