Hey Guys.

some time ago, i've got the Iris F-14. The team did a very well job and the best is, inside of the package was a paint kit  Shocked

So, after i search in the web for a good f-14 for repainting, i've got this page: http://web.tiscali.it/aviationgraphic/BIG/IRIAF3.html

I found, this would be a good thing for my first repaint. after i done the sheme in Adobe Photoshop CS2, i've saved the pics with the ending .bmp. i've saved it into a new folder, make some notes in the aircraft.cfg and wanted to try her, but when i wanted to load her, FS04 is crashing.... Cry

I don't know why, somebody could help me???

Everything is alright in the repaint....could rest in the size? originaly paints are 1 Mbyte big....

Cheers
Ruffy

Hi Ruffy. Your edited textures are probably 24-bit which FS cannot read. You need to convert them to an FS texture format. Try DXTBmp.
Open your edited images in DXTBmp & save them in an Extended BMP format. I suggest using the same format as the original F-14 textures.

If you want a single screenshot the easiest way would be to position the aircraft in FS & press the Print Scrn key. Then exit FS, start up Photoshop & press Ctrl + V to paste in the image. You can then resize it as necessary before saving it in JPEG format.

EDIT:
I'm looking to do a couple of repaints for the Tomcat. But there's a problem:

Somebody knows, in which file i can find the texture for the canopy frame???? i don't find them  Cry

And i've got some questions more:

Somebody can link photos of all fighter-wings which fly the tomcat??? it doesn't matter if the tomcat on the pic is low-viz or high viz. The best is, you can link a biiiiiiig pc of the tails with a good resolution. or decal papers from plastic-kids are good!

Hope all of you will help me!

Cheers
