That's a very interesting idea...and looks quite real Shocked.  The one thing I am wondering is what plane this is...I can't tell... Lips Sealed Tongue.

Looks like a C-119.

And I can count about four pieces of wreckage.

Thank you for the warm comments!   Cheesy She is indeed Mr. Daisuke Yamamoto's C-119 with one of my fresh paints that I will try to be uploading soon (after permitted by Daisuke) of an AC-119L. (sorry for not clarifying that)   There are indeed four pieces as well... but this is still work in progress so I hope to be adding many more as time rolls on.  Grin

Another clue could be the super tanker sized hole through the forest.
But yeah it looks very cool.

Very carefully...  Grin

I cut out ever tree and branch you see infront of the pieces of aircraft and copied all of them. Then I put the aircraft pieces (cut out from many, many screen shots of different views) where I wanted them and put the trees back in front.  then I took Burn and Dodge tools to get the lighting and shadowing right.  Adding the smoke from the engine was just different oppacities with a custom smoke brush I found at a screen shot art site.  Hope that helps if you are doing something similar!

The idea was for the aircraft to look like it entered from the right side... How you get this is the orientation of the boom and fuselage plus if you look at the port wing (infront of the fuselage) you will see a tree with the wing dented around it.  I tryed to show much complexity in this as I could where the wind is blowing the smoke toward the right where the aircraft is face to the left... showing what every pilot would do in event of engine failure... point the thing into the wind!  There may be much more complexity when this work is finally finished (who knows when  Grin )

Thanks for the comments!

Photoshop, and here is the brush:  http://www.screenshotart.com/index.php?s=a1caffc47a5592b4a825b001413f9e62&act=re...

There are a lot of other tutorials there too.  Have a look around, might help if you have some issues and whatnot.
