I will most definitely be going now...

http://www.airventure.org/2007/news/070307_raptors.html

It's still 4 months, 2 days away, and I'm just quivering in my chair. Cheesy  I wonder if they'll be giving rides...? Cool Wink

I... uh.. don't think they'll be giving rides. Not in the F22s, anyway.
But they usually give rides in the Tri-Motor... a totally different kind of fun...

I'm hoping to be there, but my employers are notorious for dashing my vacation plans at the last minute (had to cancel last year- the 50th anniversary of the C172...waaaa!)
Still pondering whether or not I'm prepared to just go anyway... if I can't go to Airventure again, what's the point of having this job? Wink

I'm going to try to convince my parents to take me this year....possibly go either before or after orientation.  Will have more news on that come May 3rd.

Sean, You still crying about that 1st Cessna, I sent you pictures, and they wouldn't even let you close to it. I hope they have it back this year, so youi can see it.

That's beautiful; plenty close enough for me.
But even more than seeing the first 172, I regret missing that massive display of Skyhawk pride... the mass arrivals... the whole thing.
I'm a Cessna pilot mostly by default, but I have no complaints. Any 170-series Cessna is a friend of mine... ;d

I plan on going again with my brother and my girlfriend for a couple of days. I plan on volunteering with the Protect our Planes Program. Should be a great convention
