Small world, my aunt lives in Santa Rosa. The best part of staying with her is the very short drive to Sonoma Valley, home of Californian wines. You would like it their Fozzer. All you need is a pick nick and a designated driver Cool

Touche' Matt...!!

I have spent the past 8-9 years daily Sim Flying around Southern California, the details of which which I now know like the back of my hand....together with my trusty relief map of Cal.... Wink...!

I take regular, daily Sim Flights from Santa Rosa (Sonoma Valley and Napa County) to Los Angeles in various Sim Aircraft, and all of my screen-shots are taken in California....
...and at the same time, consuming large quantities of California Red Wines From Sonoma Valley...Trust me...Wink...!

The Cal Pacific coast scenery is magnificent, and well worth a fly-over...
...and the sun-kissed, Beach-Babes at Santa Barbara are a sight to see.... Kiss...!

I must pop in to see your Aunt when I next land at Santa Rosa....tell her to open a bottle, ready...Smiley...!

LOL... Grin...!

Cheers, Matt...!

Paul...From Marin County.... Cool...!

If you only fly in California, have you give Flight Unlimited III a go. The aircraft are a bit dated, but the surface detail is very good. It is photo real and all bumps and humps are mapped in too. I have even found said aunts road that she lives on in Santa Rosa.

I've never flown up the coase past Santa Barbara, but the drive up highway 1 from L.A. to S.F. is magnificent!  The drive around Morro Bay and especially along Big Sur is breathtaking.

Did that drive many years ago. It was real fun, except my wife and I did it in a cabriolet. Man, I got a sunburnt  head Cry

...all Magic names.... Smiley...!

I have populated many of the SoCal airfields with my LAGO FSE/FSSE, and Abacus EZ-Scenery programs,
so they are always busy, and full of people whenever I land there... Wink...!

Highway 101 from Seattle, over Golden Gate Bridge, through Silicon Valley, and down to Los Angeles.
Highway 1 from 'Frisco to Los Angeles following the Pacific Coast.

Marvelous trips, following the highways at 800-1,000 Feet AGL....highly recommended....
...especially with Fozzers add-on, and 3rd Party Scenery... Wink...!

...I do it every day... Smiley...whilst sat in my comfy chair... Grin...!

Paul...Off to visit Arnie's* Palace in Sacremento, tomorrow...Wink...!

* Governor of California..."Ah'll be Back".... Cool...!

I never stayed there, but I remember an L.A. station was talking about Madonna Inn and they made a big deal about the men's room.  They just gave a hint, like "you gotta see the men's room.  I won't tell you what you'll see, but you gotta see it!".  Well, I was doing some work up in San Louis Obispo, so I went in just to see the men's room.  No sexual connotations or nudity, but the men's room was definately something to see!   Smiley
