You must have a lot of free time to take all those screenshots and then edit them. Wink

Now you got the effect right!
Number seven looks very good!

But not as good as number three. Hell have you snuck a photo in here? Shocked

Thank you very much! I'm having a real editing binge right now!!!

Yes, they're old shots, but if I didn't say they were not many people would notice... Wink
Anyway, a pic of a 747  taken 2 years ago is  going to look the same as today... and it feels like just yesterday anyway  Grin
My comp is limping badly... upgrade in a month though. Until then expect lots of edits of old shots...

Thanks! I  used exactly the same technique as for the other one though...  so what did I do right????
The third does look pretty  real, must be the combination of colours....

Cheers all for the feedback!

Er..... right. Actually, this time everything is blurred including the runway, so it is different, I can see now. Embarrassed

I've just thought of something.... with the reversers on, wouldn't there be hot gas coming out of them? And would there be heat blur coming out of the back of the engine? Bit of a noob question I know......

I guess with the reversers on, most of the exhaust gasses are emitted through the doors with only a little remainder coming out of the normal exhaust.

But don't take a bet on that and, more important, don't overdo the heat blur. An engine never uses 100% N1 to for the reversers, only 50-60% N1 at max.

So in that case, there should be heat blur spilling out and back from the reverser doors, and the area to the rear, and possibly even to the front (from this angle) of the engine should have some hear blur... right?  Huh

It doesn't need any heat blur at all.

The only thing would be some water spray on a wet runway:
