I have FSX but not deluxe. But isn't there a GMAX on one of the disks?  Undecided

Ok, take a look at your FSX deluxe (deluxe only) disc #1 and there should be the SDK, install that and then go to: http://www.fsinsider.com/Downloads/ and download the SDK update and install that. That will give you all the documentation as well as Gmax and its plug-ins for designing aircraft for FSX.

Hi all, I'm a newbie to aircraft design too, so I thought I would post my question here instead of starting a new thread.

I've just finished my first aircraft in Gmax, and I need to know how to export it, or covert it to an .mdl file for use in FS9. I remember reading something about a program called 'make mdl' or something like that, but I can't seem to find it. Any help appreciated.

P.S. my aircraft is an arwing from the old super Nintendo game "Star Fox"  Wink

Try checking the manual that came with the SDK, it explains it pretty well.
