I have searched through the forums and haven't found anything so far.

What I would like if anybody can give me help and run me through the steps on creating gauges, I have FSX and FS Panel Studio. Or if anybody could direct me to any tutorials that would be excellent.  Smiley

Thank You
Kurt

If you have the deluxe version of FSX it has the the Software Development Kit (SDK), but you'll need to update it from the MS website
http://www.fsinsider.com/Downloads/

You can learn about creating XML gauges from the Tutorial section of FS2x.com http://www.fs2x.com/Tutorials.htm

Thank you for being the first to help Jim, you may be the only help I get because even I understand how hard it is to find something out there on gauge creation! The problem is that I am finding it quite hard to follow, it seems a bit to complicated for a begginer. So if anybody else does come across something, please do help, would be much appreciated.  Smiley
Thank You.
Kurt.

I am running into similar things with the same tutorials provided here. Granted, they are very comprehensive, but are also daunting to grasp for the uninitiated (like myself). If any other tutorials were available, at least they could be cross-referenced to make sense of some things that right now just don't. I am considering modifying stock FS gauges (e.g., changing background colours and such) rather than creating a brand-new gauge from scratch, although I am not sure if the end result would be compatible between both FS9 & FSX. Ultimately I'd really like to create my own gauges, but that may be awhile down the road.

On a near-related matter, wondering if anyone has experience using FS Panel Studio in VC creation. I can add gauges but am having problems getting popup windows (such as the GPS) to display. It seems the help guides refer to creation of 2-d cockpits only (my version of FSPS is 2.0.0.4, intended for use with FSX as well). Many thanks.
