I use Irfanview to compress my screenshots, but I was wondering if it could be used to edit them
. The best I figured out how to do with a shot was this
All I was able to do was sharpen it and switch a few colors around. I know I basically did nothing to this screenshot but I was wondering if there is more I can do with Paint and Irfanview.
Any comments welcomed
Nick

It looks like you sharpened it way too much.

I wouldn't use Irfanview for doing more than the basics....cropping, sizing, and such. I would recommend and I think most guys use Paintshop Pro or you can even use GIMP. Just my opinion.

The only thing I've found Irfanview is good for editing wise is adjusting the coloring in a shot. When you go into Image-Enhance colors you can make a shot look alot better without any expertise.

I would suggest using PSP or GIMP (which is free), I use Paint Shop Pro 9 and Fireworks MX 2004 for my edits, never used Irfanview, and rarly use GIMP, just my thoughts
