Welcome to another Airshow announcement!

The location of the airshow will be:

Richmond Air base, Australia (YSRI).
There is a scenery package that you may wish to pick up for RAAF Richmond and is found here.

Also, to keep framerates high while watching the displays, we insist that you download the Paper Aeroplane so those flying their display will have the best framrates they can.

In this thread, please confirm the aircraft you'll be flying with a link. Please try to keep the file size relatively small so those on dial-up will not suffer. Grin

See you at the show!

OK.....the SimVBBMF will be there...

SimVBBMF Planes

Note...we probably wont be using all of them...but its best you download them all anyway Wink

I myself will be flying solos in the default extra 300s, and the F/A 18 Super hornet which I am finding a good small AI version for.

Do you know if there's an alternative that isn't 31Mb? Preferably an AI model. Wink

I'll be driving Dyl Robert's Dirt Buggy. I love this machine. Not only is it huge, this thing can do tricks [which I intend to do on my next appearance. Grin

The addon is barely 4MB in size [compressed], so you shouldn't have a problem to download it.

I was aiming to do a Mig 29 but in honour of our host airport I will instead be flying the General Dynamics F-111C by Mike Stone Cool

Get it here - http://www.pmstone.com/GeneralDynamicsF111C.htm

I'll probably be flying the DC3 with the SimVBBMF as well, see Cspyros post above for the repaint.

High Flight Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God.&&

the problem with that is the flight dynamics are all different yes i know that F-20 model is big but it comes with alot there are no others that have the exact paint shceme im flying in. also the thing about the coral F-15 is that it is the better model out of the ones i have tried.

You misunderstand me. You can get everyone else to download a model that look close to what you are flying, but still fly what you want to. All you have to do is when your about to display is switch into the alternative, and then into the one you are flying. I know it's a drag to not be seen as EXACTLY what you want, but at the end of the day if you insist on flying those (the F20 at least) models then plenty of people simply won't get it anyway and will see you display as a paper aeroplane (or whatever their default is). AT least if you give a smaller alternative people will see you as what you want to be seen as.

I hope you guys dont' mind me introducing a second ground vehicle in addition to the Dirt Buggy I chose earlier.

Introducing the SimViation International Airshow Tour Bus!

...

The other side of the bus reads: SimViation.com: SimViation International Airshow Tour Bus

You can find the repaint here:

http://www.flightsimgroundvehicles.com/dnldfs9paintjobs.htm

You'll need Mitsuya Hamaguchi's v3 Greyhound Bus which can be found at FlightSim.com by searching under Hama's name.

ill be flying the mustang "old crow" if there is room
heres the link
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=vintage&file=OldCrow.zip
mabey we could do a heritage flight also
im thinking the mustang and a f18 (or some other military jet)
then at the end we should have a mass flypast because that would be pretty cool

He's saying that you can just download a smaller model (e.g. an AI model) of an F-20 (failing that, an F-5). Then, on the day, you can select the small model that everyone has downloaded then switch to the model that you want to fly. Therefore anyone who doesn't have the large model will see you as the small one which they downloaded.

Scroll to the bottom of the main web page of flightsim.com and click on "Go to Main Menu". On the right ride, where says "Files Libraries (Downloads)" click on "search file libraries" and type in Hamaguchi's name in the search space. You should be able to see the addon (assuming you have an account with flightsim.com).

Not to mention it might take 45 minutes to download without autoinstall  Tongue

One day people will realise that it takes time to download aircraft! Especially a whole programme full. Roll Eyes

rjkcomputerwiz, if you must fly an F/A-18F, get this one. It's only 10mb, and it's by the same developer.

I think you'll have to settle with the F15, if you check you'll find the Su27 is 27MB. Tongue

Hey all, as you know i'm already doing a V22 Osprey demo (see my earlier link). Is it possible i also do a brief Buecker 131 demo? Obviously i will keep my display time down. The download link is here - http://www.junkers-52.de/downloads/buecker_131_V.2.exe

It is 17mb and i will try to find a healthier alternative! But this is the aircraft i will be flying.
