THis is going to be a one of question that I will ask.

I have downloaded the boeing 747 repaint kit for the defualt and the readme says just go and repaint it but it wont let me do it in paint so what do I do.

I have FSRepaint but it dosn't like me sharing the texture files with the rest of my VA beacuse when the other people get it they don't see the textures of FS.

If you have teamspeak could you come on and help me that way if it is easier.

Not sure why that would be. If your repainted textures work for you they should work for everyone else.

Have you tried converting the textures with DXTBmp?

First of all, do you have a registered version of FSRepaint or the free trial? If it's the full registered version you should have no problems.

If it works in your FS you must either be uploading the wrong file or they're not installing it properly. Give me a link to the download so I can check it out.

It works fine for me. I think it would help if you included some basic installation instructions & a sample Aircraft.cfg entry. Something like this:

Unzip the file & find the texture.5 folder. Paste this folder into your default B747_400 folder.
Open Aircraft.cfg in Notepad & paste this complete entry in between the last [fltsim.x] entry & the [General] header.

[fltsim.4]
title=Boeing 747-400 CVA
sim=Boeing747-400
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=5
kb_checklists=Boeing747-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing747-400_ref
atc_id=N747
atc_airline=Global Freightways
atc_flight_number=1123
atc_heavy=1
atc_parking_types=CARGO
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type="747-400"
ui_variation="CVA"
description="More than 30 years ago, the 747 made its first trip from New York to London.  Since then, it's become the standard by which other large passenger jets are judged. Its size, range, speed and capacity were then, and are now, the best in its class."

Finally, exit Notepad saving changes.

PS. Note: This is just a basic entry I used to test it.
