As a new feature to our StudioV, the staff has come up with what we feel will be a great learning tool for all our screenartists who are looking to improve their editing skills. Here's how it works. For week 1, 9thSimplex, a virtual screenshot editing guru, has graciously agreed to "hook up" with 6 of you on MSN, with everyone linked to-gether in conversation for an hour of editing tips, tweeks and ideas. He'll answer any questions you may have about his techniques and first class editing skills.

We'll try to hook up with a new lecturer every second week or so, if all goes well during the first lecture of this new series. So sign up now, it's first come, first served with only 6 spots open. The lecture will take place at a mutually agreeable time to be established once all 6 of you are signed up. Leave your name here as a reply to this thread if you're interested. Just in case you haven't seen any of 9thSimplex's work....
***Please leave your comments and opinions concerning this type of feature.***

Looks like a really cool idea, and hats off to you both, especially to Simplex for 'sticking his neck out'  Cool

Guys, if you're interested, just sign up, you sillybillies.....   Roll Eyes Grin

My comment - it would be nice to have a place where we can ask for editing help and 'guys who know' like Simplex, Sytse etc would look in regularly and answer questions, give links to good tutes etc.... There are tons of tutorials on the internet, but we need ones aimed at aviation art, and ones that give THE BEST advice.... I want to know how to make realistic oily smoke, lazer beams, afterburners and rocket engines, explosions etc etc... not having much luck on finding useful tutes. Maybe I'm stupid or blind.

Perhaps the thread could be called "photoshop aviation editing tips for the stupid or blind' in that case  Grin

Incidentally, great sigs Clip and Theis - wondering what the history is behind Theis' - it's been there for weeks...

The history about my signature, is just a reminder for everyone else, of what COULD happen, if you don't follow the rules Wink

But was my decision to put it up, no rules broken, no mods hurt Wink

Cheers Theis

You put that as your signature yourself?  Shocked

Looks like a mod put it there and you left it to show.... well, let's not go there. That's the impression it gives though.

Mad as a brush! Glad to see that SimV is still crazy  Grin

I think that someone else could need that space more than I do Wink

So you can clear me from the list again Smiley
