Lt, Sir!

AFCAD is a freeware design program by Lee Swordy (in our files library) that let's you modify and create a PORTION of an airport's scenery. It does not create buildings and light poles and trees and such. I DOES create taxiways, aprons, runyways and such, including adding features like runway and taxiway lighting and so on. It ALSO specifies the paths that AI traffic take on the created surface features, which runways aere used for takeoffs and landings, and allows you to place parking spaces. It allows you to specify what type of parking space each one is and even which airline parks at a specific space. You can add and modify navaids too.

To create a new airport ....this is what you need. To modify an existing one, this is what you need.

Hope that helps. SIR!

best,

AFCAD is a program used for building airports, pretty much. It lets you modify runways, taxiways, parking spots, etc. on default airports or create your own from scratch. It is very easy to get the hang of. It basically looks like this:

Here I am modifying the default CYOO.

Here's an airport I created from scratch for a Star Wars scenery:

In FS it looks like this:

...

Yes, it is also used when working with AI because you can use it to create more parking spots and assign certain aircraft to park in those spots.

It is a very simple yet powerful tool and it really got me into scenery design. If you have more questions let us know Wink.
