Hello and welcome to the first edition of Mythical's secrets and myths. In this topic, I will be teaching you (with pictures) how to remove jaggies from a screenshot using photshop (version 5 and up)! Buckle up, cause' im about to take you on a screenshot changing ride!

...

Myth 1: You need a good PC to produce outstanding screenshots- Truth: NOT true, you only need 1fps to take a screenshot, and by using the great tuts found at places like SimV studios, you can create anything imaginable! But this doesnt mean that your gaming experience will be as good as a person with a nice PC.

Myth 2: You need to turn up AA!- Truth: SOMEWHAT true, if you have the facilities, it is definietly a good idea to turn up your AA, if you dont have the facility, it would be a good idea to read this topic thorughly.

REMOVING JAGGIES

Step 1) Choose a screenshot, any one it doesn't matter what it is...

...

Step 2) Pick a jaggie you want to remove, ive chosen one by the edge of the wing, and zoom into the screenshot (CRTL + (+) as many times as needed to get a good enough look at the jaggie, then, choose the polygonal marquee tool (as shown) and outline (as thin as possible) around the jaggie using that tool.

...

Step 3) Zoom out (CRTL + (-) and go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur. After doing so, choose the right amount of blur and the angle of blur just so that in the preview box, the jaggie isnt visible anymore.

...

Step 4) There you have it! My first tut here at SimV studios and your finished unjaggy edge! Enjoy this tut and please use it as much as possible.

Very interesting tutorial on isolating and removing jaggies in a "precise" way. I'll put this one into our Tutorial Library.
Warm welcome to Mythical as well to StudioV as a freelance writer. Your articles are always welcome and I'm sure will be of help to many.  Smiley
