Time to get the Judge's Choice competition back on its feet!!!!
NEW CONCEPT!!!!:
You nominate one shot only, as a thumbnail of about 5 kb. It can be yours, or someone else's. Post it in this thread, below.
Deadline is 10pm GMT on Saturday. The judge will choose which shot is best and tell KRIGL on Sat or Sunday.
KRIGL will announce the winner Sunday evening, or as soon as possible.
THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!
The winner should decide on the next competition, and send KRIGL one pic plus a short text to describe the competition
and what they are looking for. Also send another couple of your best shots.
Krigl will start the new competition on Monday night if he can, so you have 5 evenings to produce your entry.
THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION:
Reigning Judge's Choice champion Immelman - congratulations again! - couldn't get enough of last month's main competition, and if you couldn't either this casual fun comp. could be for you. Immelman says:
Military Jets:
Let's see your best, most agressive, and in-your-face shots of any jet that is, was, or was almost in service. Vintage or modern, fighter or bomber, just make sure its a lean mean fightin' machine. You can try for a peaceful shot, but who'd want to when there's 6 missles slung under the wing and a gattling gun coming out of the nose!
And what better way to illustrate this concept than Immelman's fine shots. Just look at that title one!
THIS WEEKS RULES
1. The subject is military jets used for fighting in some way. No props or pure military transports, of course. Not this time.
2. It can be from inside or outside the plane.
3. There can be payware or freeware in the shots, FS any version, and it can be edited too. BUT NO CUTTING OUT AND PASTING - the screenshot should remain the same - you can change colours, blur the shot, whatever - but no pasting other planes in, or pasting the plane on a new background. Why? Only a few people know how to do this.... and the results often whip the werewolf with a rubber hose - this contest is open to everyone, not just photoshop pro's
Here's a nice edited interior shot.
4. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules. In the spirit of StudioV, we're all aviation and aviation screenie fans, and friends, and so just about everything goes. Rules are secondary, and no questions needed. Immelman will decide on Sunday which he likes best, and then the comp will go on.....
It might be an idea to check out his work, see what he likes....
TWO 'IMPORTANT' NOTES
A. Please note: the winning picture will NOT go into the gallery, unless it's judged by the gallery team to be exceptional, so that is not the prize and don't be disappointed if it doesn't get in. The point is that you get to be the judge!!!
B. Winners need to send Krigl the material for the new competition by Monday night. If they do not, Krigl will be the judge and
make a competition himself. And that would be boring wouldn't it. This is so the comp becomes regular and dependable!
I hope you like this new concept for the Judge's Choice comp, and that a lot of people will take part.
Have fun!!!
Krigl

Well, looks like all entries in for this week's JC comp! Now it's down to Immelman to choose.... will he be seduced by the beauty of an FSX sunset and reflective water? Or will he go for some of the other great entries? It's down to his personal preferences....
I await his PM......

I'm sorry to say you are, according to the rules, too late "Deadline is 10pm GMT on Saturday. The judge will choose which shot is best and tell KRIGL on Sat or Sunday. "
However, you never know, the judges may be merciful

Awww no way
. I was working on it and then I had to eat supper and I couldn't remember what the difference was between Canadian EST and GMT LOL. Too bad
. But yes, hopefully they'll have mercy...(not like I'll win anyway

It would be a pity not to include Gabes wicked shot....keep in mind that the Studio has a great deal of flexibility when it comes to rules interpretations....
Sorry I missed my entry, I thought we were going much longer....there's that rules thing again..

Well, still waiting for Immelmann.... I agree with you about the flexibility thing, but I want it to be a weekly comp. So if you're quick you could still make it Clip
Question is, what I'm going to do if Immelmann doesn't get in touch soon. Guess I'll have to choose....
