To me it looks "Unbalanced" in the sense that the aircraft is the subject but it seems that I am looking at the airport and runway.

Basic rule of thumb for any photographer and or when filming, subjects eyes should be centered 3/4 the way up the screen.

I would have put the aircraft "on top" and the airport below by changing angles from top to bottom.

If you would've lit the plane up it would've drawn more attention to it. Look up key and fill light and you'll see what I mean.
Still Dave is right ... the plane is to much in the bottom of the shot. The background is nice but the 747 is your subject and it doesn't jump at you.

BTW Dave: Great to see you giving tips in StudioV ... please do drop by 'more often'!

Nice shot but that 747 kinda looks out of place over those fields...something just kinda "rural" about it not "urban".  Does anyone know what I mean?  Like it should be flying over a city or larger airport.

Beautiful shot none the less mate.  Grin

I really like some of the coloring/contrasts in this shot. Mees, why do you think your clouds suck? If you like, we can have a closer look at that issue and try to work on getting your clouds more realistic...are you using default environment textures?

Thanks a lot for the input guys, well, the clouds, it's just that it's so little off them, and my cirrus clouds, ah well, lets not mention that...
